This was a cute little vanity I found off Craigslist. (The little green trailer in the background is my husband's camp trailer. A while ago I was spraying back here, and he was quite unhappy to see that there was white overspray on the wheels - oops! :)
After sanding, a quick coat of spray primer and another light sanding, I sprayed on some pink "oops" paint.
I heavily distressed, and then brushed on Ralph Lauren "Tobacco" glaze.
For the finish I wanted to wax, but figured a young girl's desk might need a little more protection, so I wiped on two coats of this~
Before~
All dressed up in pink~
Another sweet little glass knob from the nearby vintage shop~
I mod podged the drawer with cute Hobby Lobby paper~
Does anyone else have trouble with this...kids relentlessly trying to be in the pictures?
The cubbies are perfect for pet storage!
A close up of the bench~
O.K, fine...just be in the picture! :)
Have a wonderful weekend!

You did an awesome job on the beautiful creation. Oh, and I love the dressing table as well. What a cute daughter. Bob and I have five wonderful grandsons. We wanted a granddaughter very badly.
Tell me about the finish on the dressing table. You said you sprayed. Do you use a professional sprayer? If so what kind? I have a small wagner but I am afraid to use it.
Thanks for asking about Bob. He is doing so well. He has put on his apron around here lately since I broke my foot.
Thanks for sharing your two beauties. Hugs, Ginger

Kim, The dresser and the child are adorable. She dressed perfectly for the photo shoot. She is so precious you might want to consider always using her for a model! Thank you for your comment on my blog. I have never linked to anyone before and really don't know what I am doing. I should have learned how to link to the post and to retrieve Miss Mustard Seed's link. I have much to learn about this part of blogging but I have been to busy creating... That vanity is fabulous! My girls would love something like that in their room. And you've inspired me to start checking out the oops paint ... I rarely look at it because it's usually insane colors. You hit the jackpot!
Now that is just gorgeous! Oh yeah, I like the vanity too!
This is so great, I am glad I found your blog. I am adding your to my blogroll so I can see your latest projects!

I can't believe, my son found the exact vanity in the trash down to the two compartments on the sides of the mirror that used to have drawers ... the drawers were broken. just looking for some ideas, I'm thinking of painting it with Martha Stewart's Pink Pearl Metalic paint. anyway yours looks great, it shows me approximately how mine will look. Thanks for that.
