(Pink) Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend!

*This is a post from the (kinda) little daily blog I do for Zach and Maya.  Thought I'd share it because it's just so cute!

Yesterday after preschool, Maya came up and whispered to me, "Can I get my ears pierced?"  Yippee!  (I've been trying to talk her into it for a while now.)

Well, today was the big day!  We drove to the mall and went to Merle Norman.  The ladies, Emily and Terri, were so nice!

Maya picked out pink "diamond" earrings.  As we waited for Maya's turn, she started to get a bit nervous, but she was very brave!

Here is Terri, figuring out exactly where to place the dots on Maya's little ears!

Perfect placement, I think!

1...2...3...(They did both ears at once!)

O.K., so it hurts a litttle more than a pinch!  :)  My bad.

                                               TOTALLY worth it!

Emily, Maya and Terri!  These ladies were so awesome and did such a great job!

                             Me and my Little Lady~
What a great day!

LUCKY girl!!! I had to wait until I was 13 to get my ears pierced. My dad thinks it's self mutilation. No-way, it's awesome! Waiting was torture!!

Maya is a beautiful little girl, what a sweet time for the two of you. Sometimes beauty is painful LOL, I'm sure she thinks its totally worth it after the fact!

Awww what a brave little girl. Love that you took pics. Neither of my daughters have their ears pierced, 13 and 15. My girly girl cringes at the sight of blood and her sister is a bit of a tomboy. Believe it or not I don't even have my ears pierced, did at one time but was allergic to everything. And I love the way earrings look :( Love those mother daughter days, memories!

What a coincidence! I just took my Mya to get her ears pierced too. She's almost 10. I didn't know that Merle Norman pierced ears. We went to Claire's and then had fun shopping afterwards. I even got some stuff in there ;)

She is such a beautiful little girl! That was great that the ladies did both ears at once!

What fun! We will be going in March to get Jade's ears done as her 5th birthday present. :)

Don't use the stuff they give you to clean them. My daughter's became infected (and worse) and the Dr. looked at what we'd been given and said it was worthless.

I was enjoying the read until I saw the tears in your baby's eyes...made me sad!! I remember when my girls got their ears pierced, Gabi was 5 months and Lexi was 12 months. They didn't cry but they turned red..awww!!
