Pink Bedroom Set

I am always amazed at how some of you take very comtemporary, ordinary pieces and make them look so fabulous.  So, I thought I'd try a little makeover on a regular old bedroom set.

After sanding, I primed with my fave~

I mixed up some leftover oops pink paint and threw in a little bit of white to tone it down.

Using 80 grit sandpaper, I lightly distressed all the edges.

I wiped on a couple coats of poly for protection~

I sanded, primed and sprayed all the ugly gold hardware a basic white and then distressed them as well.

Here we have the before~

Now it's all pink!

Have a great day!

Beautiful Kim!! I love that shade of pink and the white hardware is perfect with it. Question, do you brush paint or use a sprayer? Your finish always looks like velvet...smooth and soft. Deb

Hi Kim, this bedroom set is fantastic. I didn't think I would like the pink with the distressing but it is fabulous.

Love pink! Whew, that before photo would have overwhelmed me if I were the one re-doing the furniture! There were ALOT of drawers!

Well, my theory is that all girls (or girls at heart) need at least one piece of pink furniture in their home.

Visiting from Funky Junk Interiors. Thanks for sharing!

This is so pretty! I have to be honest, I first say your aqua dresser and thought, "Oh, nice piece to work with there!" Then I saw this set and couldn't imagine what you could do. I am so amazed, they look wonderful!
